SERVIER is showing strong growth in this region of the world, with a 15% increase in its turnover on the international market, representing €255 million.
In Southeast Asia, SERVIER is showing dynamic growth in Thailand and the Philippines and making rapid progress in Vietnam, where Vastarel now occupies the third place on the general market, and Coversyl is the market leader in hypertension.
SERVIER Vietnam is now the fourth-ranking pharmaceutical company in the country, with an increase in turnover of over 30%.
In China, SERVIER has consolidated its R&D organization, improved its hospital coverage, and developed its local manufacturing operations at its Tianjin factory. Turnover has increased by 17% and is expected to reach €50 million in 2006.
In Japan, where four drugs from SERVIER research have already been registered, SERVIER is also making dynamic progress. Coversyl, which was launched in 1998, has come to occupy fourth place on the angiotensin-converting enzyme market, while Diamicron is a reference antidiabetic drug used for the treatment of almost 10% of Japanese diabetes patients.
In Australia, a country known for its exacting requirements, SERVIER has seen growth of 23%, with Coversyl, Diamicron, and Natrilix being the leaders in their respective therapeutic classes.
